To Pixieland

Today was a great walk. We haven't been for a while since the pups were lacking stamina especially in the heat. Today we walked up the road and over the little bridge we found (we forgot to check for trolls) and found Pixieland!

We peeked through the fence adorned with the scary-looking demon-pixie

To see the little pixie houses and the little pixie train

No-one ever told me that in California we would have pixies living at the end of the road! The pups and I will be back for a visit for sure.

Up the Hill

Today we walked up the hill that leads away from the stables where my horse MacKenzie lives.

And back down again...

The edge of town and back.

Today we took a short walk to the edge of town and back. The pups are always keen to go out but their little legs run out of steam quickly. Milly seemed to want to jump into the little stream, which isn't like her at all! These oranges reminded me of the ones we bought at the farmers market which were not perfectly round and wax-coated but sooo delish.

Our first post!

Finally I can start my little blog. I just finished grad school and have some free time. Its been a busy year. The hubby, the furry family, and I have relocated from Las Vegas to Northern California. We spent ten years in Nevada and for the last two I've lived a pretty sedentary life stuck behind a computer for about 12 hours a day. So since I finished school last week the pups (Milly and Teddy) and I have been enjoying a daily walk around the beautiful area we live in. I decided that family and friends should be able to enjoy our walks with us, virtually of course, and so I've been posting pictures of what we see on our strolls on Facebook. Some days I have more to say and see, so we've moved over to a blog. Hope you join us!

All pictures are taken with my camera phone, and I'm no photographer so we're hoping the amateur approach comes off as charming rather than lame.
Yesterday we walked to the Farmers Market. It was perfect weather, the market was bustling, and a band was playing. We came home with the most delicious, locally grown, organic, seasonal produce. Yum!
